Since my childhood I have been interested in history, mechanics and handicrafts. I started my education in clockmaking in 1992 at the School of Beaux Arts and artistic professions in Schoonhoven (NL). I obtained my diploma in 1996.

| From 1995 to 2001, I worked in the antique clock and music box restauration workshop of Melgert Spaander in Zutphen (NL). There I acquired a lot of experience in working for both private individuals and museums.
In 2001, I started my own restoration workshop in Dronten (NL). I worked both for private individuals and antique dealers and collaborated with other clockmakers.
In 2008, my wife and I realised our dream to live in Brittany (France). We moved to St. Hélen, a little village near the historical city of Dinan. The whole of 2008 was taken by the removal itself, the renovation of the workshop and the start of my own business. In January 2009 I restarted my work as a clockmaker in my own well equipped workshop.
In addition to restoration, I like to create modern mechanical clocks of my own design. I started this in my workshop in the Netherlands and I hope to further extend this in the future.
